Why not impose any high heels?
From a young age, high heels are presented as special footwear. More than that, an indispensable accessory for truly important situations. However, little is said about how harmful they can be.
In series, films and books, elegance has extravagant and modern colors, perfectly shaped hair and, of course, exceptionally thin heels.
But why might high heels fall out of fashion in the coming years? It’s quite possible that high heels will never fall out of fashion. However, they may lose popularity and become an even more specific accessory in the years to come.
This is likely due to the popularity of barefoot footwear. In recent years, the global barefoot movement has highlighted the harmful effects of having your feet tied up and wearing shoes that you don’t want to wear. Among the different types of footwear, high heels are the main culprit.
Traditional shoes, although they have a tight toe box, hard soles, high drop, among other factors, are not as harmful as heels. They are so harmful to the health of the feet that few women wear heels very often.
In short, all the negative characteristics of traditional shoes are present in heels. However, they are much more pronounced, causing pain and discomfort after just a few hours of use.
Among all the negative factors, the drop — the distance between the ground and the heel — is the point that causes the most discomfort and harms the health of the feet.
With an excessively high drop, you lose your sense of balance, increase the pressure on your entire body and disrupt the alignment between your base and torso. With more frequent use, there are different risks that can arise, such as more acute pain, injuries and weak feet.
Having said all that, we need to make a challenge: what if this Mother's Day you didn't wear tight shoes or high heels? Today, this is possible with barefoot shoes!
